Lesson Content

Cleaning the Toilet and the Bathroom

Keeping the toilet and bathroom clean is very significant for good health. It helps stop germs from spreading and makes our homes nicer.

What is Cleaning?

Cleaning means getting rid of dirt,dust,and other things that aren’t clean from surfaces. We use things like brushes, sponges, soaps, and cleaners to do this.

Steps for Cleaning the Bathroom:

1. Take everything out: towels, toiletries, etc.
2. Sweep and dust to remove loose dirt.
3. Use cleaning solution on the sink, tub, and shower.
4. Scrub everything well with a brush or sponge.
5. Rinse and dry everything with clean water and a towel.
6. Clean mirrors and windows with glass cleaner.
7. Mop the floor with cleaning solution and water.
8. Put everything back.

Steps for Cleaning the Toilet:

1. Flush the toilet to loosen dirt.
2. Use toilet cleaner inside the bowl, especially on stains.
3. Scrub the bowl with a toilet brush.
4. Clean the seat, lid, and outside of the bowl.
5. Disinfect the flush handle.
6. mop the floor around the toilet.

Similarities and Differences:

Cleaning a toilet and a bathroom are similar in many ways:

• Both need you to remove things first.
• Both need sweeping or dusting.
• Both use cleaning solutions.
• Both need scrubbing.
• Both need rinsing and drying.

But they are also different:

• they use different cleaning solutions.
• Toilets need a special brush for the bowl.
